I have an item that is called a Tru-Gyde. It is made by Wilson Brothers in Springfield, MO. It looks like it should be used for some type of weaving or sewing. However, I cannot seem to find any information anywhere on this item.

It is made of wood and is approximately 8 inches long, their is an eyelet type device on the top that can be moved to different holes. On the end is a pointed type needle with a whole, however the end is much larger than your typical sewing needle. and the entire thing can be slide back and forth as if you are sewing or weaving. I do not have a scanner therefore I can not put up a picture. Anyone who can help me find out what this was used for would be a great help.
I thought I had found a manufacturer however, their phone number did not work.
