My neighbor, an antique dealer is moving and had a weaver's scarn in his barn that he gave to me. I weave on an antique "DownEast" Maine floor loom and have never heard of this implement. He told me that they were hung on the ceiling above a loom and held the spools of warp and it was an aid to dressing the loom. I did a ton of searching on the net, to no avail. Can anyone help with some information?
