My message was cut off.
Again these are not woven, but might help anyway. The first uses 2 - 39 inch bars to produce a 46x72 inch long hammock with ornate fringe. It can be found page 274+ of:
The Good Housekeeping Needlecraft Encyclopedia
Edited by Alice Carroll
Rinehart & Company
1947
The Ashley Book of Knots
By Clifford W. Ashley
Doubleday & Company Inc.
1944
This book contains a several hammocks including: Sailors (with canvas body), Knitted, Netted, and Barrel-Stave. Several hammock clews (ring thing that holds the end of hammock) and about a bazillion different knots and instructions for such things as how to properly lash a cargo to a mule.
The Bantan Step by Step Book of Needle Craft
Dorling Kindersley Limited
1979
Has a simple hammock instructions (Page 190-191)
If I could having only one Needlecraft book this would be it.
Happy knotting, netting, etc.
