For the time period you are researching you would not want an inkle loom, but a back strap loom. A small one. I made one , three feet wide (weaves about two feet) from the required boards and dowells from a Mexican book that I have somewhere, about 30 years ago.

Small items the required length were woven on that type of loom, for centuries. Or your choice is the same type of thing, but supported up and down like the Egyptians wove.
In a back strap you tie yourself into it and make your body the tensioning device. Just a few wooden rods and the threads holding it together. Takes a bit to set up, but can be wound up for moving, or you keep at it till done.
I demonstrated mine in a 39 A.D. reenactment for a church group.
