Hello, my name is JackieG and I’m a beginning spinner. Val Blake at ArtLoft2000.com is giving me an opportunity to host a small corner in the Spinner’s Loft as a new spinner’s resource. One of the things I find most interesting is why people choose to spin. It isn’t the easiest thing in the world to do with all the washing, carding and dyeing that has to be done even before we get to sit down at the spinning wheel. That is why I am writing today.
I would like to compile a ‘documentary’ of sorts relating all the reasons people decided to take up spinning.
And, of course, I would like to know what their worst spinning disaster was and how it turned out. I’ve heard stories about how the worst ever turned out to be the best ever.
