Hi, I have no idea how looms work, I mean I know what they do and all but I could not operate one if my life depended on it!
When my grandmother passed away she left my wife a loom (with a bench), a spinning thing, an antique spindle thing, and a
half dozen garbage bags full of wool.
I am trying to find information on what it is exactly (ie brand name, and proper terminology, etc) and what it's value is if we
were to sell it... this is the ultimate goal as we are not interested in keeping it.
Would someone please contact me so I can send you some photos of it and you could help me distinguish what it is?
I remember my grandmother mentioning that she paid 5500$ cdn (about 3500$US now)for it - this did not include
the antique spindle thingy. She also mentioned that she was so happy because she got a great deal. I would be happy if I can get 4000$cdn (about
$2600 US) for the whole lot of stuff.
I would really appreciate someone helping me decipher what all of this is and what it might be worth.
Please send me an email: martyb@total.net
PS. We live in Quebec Canada (east coast).
Thank you,
Martin
