Have enjoyed and learned from the loom discussions started by Penn. Just wanted to follow-up and say I have not been able to learn any more about the Maxwell loom and curious if anyone has more information.
Penn, have you decided on a loom yet? Keep us posted, please.
I "found" an old Mira Leclerc counterbalance lanquishing in a nursing home. It is a wonderful loom with a large shed and easy to operate. Ran into the bane of the counterbalance in that it cannot weave any but balanced weaves (must use two harnesses at a time). Recently added the Leclerc shed regulator but just as they say, it is not perfect. But at least I am now weaving my first attempt at double weave. I also hope to add another loom to the family so appreciate everyone's experiences. Thanks so much.
