The Bergmans lived in Poulsbo, Washington (the Puget Sound area) and they started The Kitsap Weavers Guild.
I think most Bergman looms are still in the northwest, some have managed to migrate to other parts of the US. I am in Maryland and recently purchased a 36" 4 harness for $400, which had moved here with a military family.
They are great looms, I hope you enjoy it. I would also recommend taking some classes if there are any weaving schools in your area. Where are you?
