I just bought a Macomber 5B--mine was in a garage. :) I need to get mildew off the wood and refinish it, and the metal shafts all need a lot of wire brushing to remove heavy rust. Looking ahead to when that's done, I'm concerned that I have no idea how to do the tieups on this loom, and like you, would be very interested in basic instructions. I already know that I have to purchase a crank and a couple of other parts, and I plan to get in touch with the Macomber man in Maine to buy those and get information on the original finish. Maybe he'll have some guidance on working this loom. Sorry I don't have help for you, but I'm hoping that if anyone does, they post info or links!
