I have purchased a 40" Macomber that I'm in the process of restoring. I'm looking ahead to my weaving needs on this loom. . .

I've discovered I really don't like double-denting threads, so I'd like to assemble a good wardrobe of reeds. The loom came with one carbon 6-dent reed, which is usable, although I'd really like to replace it with a fresh stainless model. My fantasy reed lineup is a set of stainless reeds in good condition with 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, and 20 dpi. I seem to be using my 8-dent reed a lot on my current loom, so that's a priority.

The reeds can be 40" to 42" long if they're of traditional structure--steel members anchored in a wrapped wooden rod or bar, with end-posts contributing stability. I have purchased the newer type of reed for my current loom, whose verticals are anchored in steel or other metal that's covered with a rubbery bumper. The finishing might vary, but the newer type do not have the end-posts, so they can be cut down from larger sizes. If you have the newer style in 45" width or even wider, I'd also be interested.

Reed height can be 4" to 5", with 4.5" or 5" preferred.

Please email me or post here if you have any for sale.

Thanks!
