I'm a new weaver and I bought my 1st loom - 2 harness- from a seller on eBay. It's a Dryad/Leicester and I think it is considered a hobby loom. But it's got a 25" weaving width and it operates smoothly. I'm liking it so far.
I've been hampered, though, by having 2 harnesses instead of at least 4 - most of the designs I saw in my 1st class were for 4 harness. While everyone else was experimenting, I was doing plain weave only.
An experienced weaver in my guild wore a beautiful plaid vest to a meeting and said she wove it on a 2-harness. So the loom has more possibilities than I knew! I've now borrowed a 4 harness table loom because I want to learn huck weaving, but it seems my 2 harness will be great for weaving more complex patterns than I'd thought.
But I have not had much success either in finding patterns or other info about 2 harness weaving.
