Beautiful, Ariadne Dutch Spinning Wheel. I'm selling it for $265 + S/H, though would highly prefer local pickup (Hinesville/Ft. Stewart/Liberty County area of GA), but if necessary will find a big enough box and take to UPS to figure out shipping costs.
It is a castle style or upright wheel from the late 70s.
It has a single treadle, bobbin driven system, good for spinning thick or thin fibers/yarns. The ingenious metal brake on the flyer has an easy to operate knob on the right side of the front maiden. Runs very smooth. Made of plywood (drive wheel) and of solid European oak and is finished in a light brown. It treadles light (almost on its own) and spins very consistent yarns. Recommended to any hand spinner, beginner and expert alike.
Spinning wheel comes with a Lazy Kate and 4 large 2-speed bobbins that can easily hold 200 gr. of fibre each, will also include a new hook to use in the orifice. All parts have been checked and cleaned. It is currently assembled.
Dimensions (approx): Wheel - 19" diameter, base 18"x18", height 32"
