I have a beautiful, handpainted Celtic knotwork Ashford Traveler spinning wheel for sale. You have got to see this wheel to appreciate how beautiful and special it is, so I've posted photographs at http://grayponylady.com/traveler.html
In short it's an Ashford Traveler, single treadle (although I've used 2 feet on occasion), and Scotch tension. Comes with 3 bobbins and a turbo band. Spins like a bat! I've used it for silk, wool, flax, cotton and exotic fibers -- long stable, short staple -- never had a problem spinning any of them!
It was especially finished in pecan, a light colored stain. Details were added in terra cotta -- a rust color -- around the inner wheel, on the wheel spokes, and on many of the turned parts. In addition, beautifully detailed Celtic knot work designs were hand painted on the turnings as well as on the broad sides of the table. The designs are colored in rust, moss green, and yellow ochre (gold-color) and delicately outlined in black) The handwork is exquisite.
it was owned by a long-time spinner who loved it and used it correctly, and kept it lubricated. As a result there is minimal wear on all parts. I'm asking 350 plus shipping
