i guess you'd call this a rather belated follow-up; is aboot 0300 est 15 december (good grief! only TEN ?! days til christmas!! when did THAT happen ???? ) ennyway, surfin' and scrollin' - came upon this post...have experienced this kind of reception in spinning/weaving guilds - fortunately for me, things smoothed out - but then i only go infrequently to meetings and come from a slightly different angle in that i have a small farm, have sheep for wool and freezer, do heritage events; many of the folks in this guild are weavers to knitters magna cum laude - gosh! you should see the stuff they do! kinda intimidating, as what ever i spin/weave pretty simple - but it IS sturdy! :) i am just north of gainesville, florida - birmingham not toooooooo far away - at least, in the southeast corner of the usa. be glad when and if oswg cranks up it's chat room -can really share, vent and learn! a very merry and healthy christman to all...tingo.
