I have the HD 8 harness but I think they are rigged the same. The heavier cords, leather or plastic coated wire, attach to the tops of the harnesses, go over the pulleys and down the right side as you face the the front. The chains link the top set of cords with the wires going to the bars across and above the ends of the treadles, these also rig over pulleys. Depending on the way the treadles are chained to these bars, they can lift one or more harnesses. It's easy to ge the cords improperly strung on the pulleys so I also suggest you contact HD for an instruction sheet.
