The pegs on my warping mill are not glued into the part that holds them. The warping mill is simliar in concept to the clamping pegs, except that they are mounted on vertical dowels instead on a table. By having them unglued, you can establish the length of your warp, measure a warp, release one of the pegs to chain it, and measure another warp without having to reposition your clamps. When I use my mill, I will try not to warp more than 6 inches worth of ends, to avoid distortion of the measurement. So, for a 24" wide project, I will have four warp chains.
