I am new to weaving and have an Ashford rigid heddle table loom. I have made four scarves as practice pieces. On two I used an angora yarn for the warp and both times, after weaving around 12 to 20 inches, the warp yarn through the slots is very tight, and the warp through the holes is very loose. I was careful to have even tension when starting. Do you think it is a yarn problem or something I am doing? I have used cotton/silk and hemp/cotton on other projects without problems. The angora does not seem more stretchy than other yarn and I like the softness of it. Any ideas of what is wrong? Thanks.
