I just bought a nadeau loom this weekend at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival auction. I was totally fascinated by the mechanism used to change shafts. No one but myself bid on it so I got it for a song. I'm in the process of cleaning it up (it was pretty dirty). Everything seems to work. There was no manual with it. MIne is a 4-shaft like yours but its weaving width is 36". The warp is HUGE. I will probably just tie on to the existing warp and try a few weaves. Do your shafts hit the bottom plywood? They make an awful "clunk" when they are released. I'm thinking that maybe the leather strips attaching them to the levers have stretched. I will try padding the bottom wood to absorb the sound. After I have used it, I will get back to you.
