This is a heavy duty two-harness “Weaver’s Friend” loom made by the Reed Loom Company of Ohio. This model was manufactured from 1890 to 1930 and was used for weaving rag rugs. It is a 45" wide, two-shaft loom with an automatic shaft changer. It measures approximately 5 feet on each side. The loom is currently located in my storage unit about a 30-minute drive north of Seattle, Washington. I would like to give this loom to a weaver who will appreciate its historical significance, give it a good home, and make some more beautiful rag rugs on it. Please do not respond on behalf of someone else. Please contact me and tell me a bit about your background in fiber arts and why you are interested in owning this loom.
