Kathy,

you can do a search on the digital weavaing archives about lace and lacy weaves under subject then you can just print out drafts etc on your printer. The archives are downloads of old weaving books and magazines that are no longer copywrite protected. There are many books about huck lace, bronson lace and swedish lace. I like huck the best because you hav more design possibilities and you can either weave plain weave or lace or both. The best of weavers Huck lace book is very good and there are a many other books out there. if you are looking for books to buy go to www.fetchbook.info and put in weaving. they compare who has books and offering discounts on ones that are still in print. What type of loom do you have? How many shafts. You can do beautiful lace on 4 shafts but can do many more complex designes if you have 8. Lace is beautiful woven in linen, cottolin and cotton it is also lovely in silks and fine wools.....Good luck on your lace search....so much to discover.
Sharon
