I have a 48" Macomber 12 Harness Add-a-harness Loom for sale. (Model B5C #2675)made at least 25 years ago.
This loom has
Double Back Beam
and with it
4 48" Whitaker Reeds (10, 12, 15, 18)
Loom Bench with under seat storage
Many extra heddles,
Shuttles
Hand Bobbin Winder
Lease Sticks and more
There is no Warping Board
In addition to the loom and equipment are 7 boxes of old(er) Weaving Magazines (Shuttle,Spindle and Dyepot, Handwoven, Handweaver and Craftsman, Boston Weavers Newsletter with samples etc), Multiple Harness Books (list available on request) and sample books (duplicates from my mother).
I cannot weave on this large loom any longer. It was my mother's loom and it was very briefly flooded but suffered no damage. My mother used it for about three years after, until she died. It is a beautiful loom to work on. I'm selling it and duplicates of equipment I have for $2000. The loom is big and heavy although some parts can be removed for moving. I'd say only someone who can easily get to W-Mass should seriously consider buying this loom. Shipping/Crating to almost anywhere costs at least $1000!
Pictures are available on request.
I'd like this loom to go to someone who will care for it as my mother did. This was her favorite loom.
I am interested in finding a 32" 8 Harness, Tools of the Trade Loom within easy driving distance of W-Mass. It's the widest loom I can handle. If anyone knows of one for sale, please let me know.
Thanks,
Betsey Heath Howes, MW
