I agree...if you are at all "handy" just jump in and try it. I did, and made out OK. However, in praise of classes...after I'd done a couple of warps, I took a class in beginning weaving, and was glad I did...got lots of little hints that made warping much easier. So, in my opinion and experience, while it's possible to do it yourself, a class will make things more clear, and might give you great hints, too!
