I like Palmy Weigle's Double weave book. It is out of print, but you can get a used copy off ABE for under $5.00. It has I think the easiest directions to manage. There are several others, but this is the one that I think would be the best for a visual person. The best of weavers magazine has a newest one out, Layna Brostoff has one, but I do not own a copy. I own the shuttle craft series Double weave plain and patterned and it would probably be my second favorite.
