Are you talking about tracking, tiny diagonals that appear in a plain weave structure, or actual creases - left in the cloth by the spin cycle of your washer?

Tracking is caused by the twist in the cotton yarns you weave with, asserting themselves after weaving. Creases caused in the washer are another story entirely...

Washing in a top loader can cause the fabric to rope around itself and the creases are really hard to remove. Try soaking and washing again by hand. Don't wring the fabric. Roll it up in a towel or towels and press (squeeze) the water out into the towels then hang until almost dry, then iron.

There is a way to deal with tracking, and I have it around somewhere. It is time consuming and involves a lot of steaming and pressing, but supposedly is permanent.
