Linda,
The Mighty Wolf loom is a great loom for all weavers beginning and advanced. It is foldable and has the available stroller for pushing it around from place to place when folded. It is sturdy enough to weave mats on and I have woven 70/2 linen on it with no problems. The 8 shaft version will give you years to grow with your weaving. If I had the choice of all looms made in the US currently and had the money all the looms in my house would be either the mighty wolf or baby wolf. There is additional information on their website schachtspindle.com They will also have a list of dealers.....go talk to them or talk to someone in a local guild. Someone has one you may be able to sit down and treadle it. Good luck with your weaving endeavors.
