I think that Gloria is correct. It looks to me like the light part of the wood that was originally covered up by the cog wheel of the cloth beam on the inside is facing out. So that piece needs to be turned over. Looks like you have done a good job. Always be mindful of lighter and darker areas in the finish. The lighter areas are where the wood did not get any light because there was another piece of wood covering it up. It looks like the upright just behind the cog wheel of your cloth beam may have originally faced in and not out also. The darker the wood stain the more exposure to light so they did not have any other piece covering up the finish.
