Mary, The Mira because it does not fold is the most sturdy for rugs. The fanny is ok also. If you think you might have to move the loom around the fanny is more movable since the back beam folds up. The Mira has to be disassembled to move from room to room so you might want to take that into consideration when making your decision. Both were designed to be multitask looms from rugs to finer threads.
