I'm just here as a newbie, and I'm anxious to start weaving but low on cash. I've seen some nice children's looms made by Beka on ebay, but I also really want a Schacht Cricket loom, which I can't afford right now. Are they both terribly different or do they both do the same job? Which would you recommend? Should I get the Beka, then maybe sell it when I have enough for a Schacht?

I'm mostly interested in Rigid Heddle looms because I've seen some of these really complicated big things and they scare me, I could never afford one and I'd never remember all the ins and outs of using one. A small simple loom would be fine for me.

I have about $100 US to work with right now, I hope I can get enough money next month for the Cricket. Jee, paypal transfers take soo long!

Thanks everybody!
