office supply stores have ott daylight clamp-on lamps that are reasonably priced. We like the daylight-style of lamps and have not used the magnifier type of work light. I think a magnifier would get in my way at the loom-but my eyesight is still ok for loom work. I have also bought daylight/florescent bulbs to fit an adjustable floor lamp so it hovers at the right height over a weaving area and stays out of the way of the beater. I hope this helps a little.
