Hi,
I recently bought some Mulberry silk roving for use on an art project. I don't spin and didn't plan to spin with this roving. The fibers are much shorter than I was expecting - only about 2 inches. I thought each silk cocoon was one very long thread of silk. So, is this normal for silk roving - for the threads to be so short?
Thanks,
