This summer, I want to weave a rug in 3/36 wool at 576ypp. The old set of Handwoven directions I have suggests a 10/6 linen for the warp and a 6-ply wool for the weft at 228 ypp.

Question:

If I use the 3/36 @ 576ypp, can I use good ol' 8/4 carpet warp for the warp, or should I stick with a linen warp?
