Hi-by now you must have spun your wool, it's been 2 years! This summer I saw native americans spinning buffalo wool with a drop spindle at a pow-wow. I suspect they washed it first. They carded it (they were demonstrating that too), then the woman simply spun it with a drop spindle into a thick yarn. She was using the yarn to weave into small buffalo wool bags. The wool was very soft because they said they used only the undercoat of the buffalo. Hope this helps! Good luck. I would be interested to know what you make with your buffalo wool.
