Jo Ann,

You don't say what the other options are for the warp/weft. Is the chenille rayon or cotton and is it solid color or varigated? I weave many scarves with a solid rayon boucle or chenille warp and a variagated weft. I set it up in a straight twill threading, use a floating selvedge, and weave a pebble weave. This has an alternative plain weave every other pick followed by a 2/2 twill on the opposites. I ususally treadle 1&3, then 2&3, then 2&4 and then 1&4. This gives it a little more stability than straight twill, but gives you the floats to accentuate your weft. It also helps to stabilize the chenille that can worm on you. I then take the rayon chenille scarf off the loom, mist it good with a spray bottle (avoiding fringe ends) and wrap it in a plastic bag and steam it in the microwave for 10 minutes on 10%. This sets it so it won't take on a life of its own. Sharon
