The hub seems to be all right, but the wheel is out of true (perhaps the spokes as well?) to the point that the rim changes position almost two inches to one side during one revolution. As you might expect, it throws its drive band. I've done some temporary fixes for that problem, rather ugly, but they work, by putting a stiff rim of layers of duct tape along the edge of the wheel that faces me. I've also inserted a thick leather washer between the outer upright and the wheel hub to keep the wheel forced over towards me. I've done some woodworking, but not enough, I'm afraid, to tackle this situation.
