Hi Jenny, I would save my money for now. If you tells us where you live I will put you in touch with the local weaving guild so you can try a real loom. A loom may look big and terrifying but they are not hard to learn to use. Right now there is a free large loom in SoCal, looms come in all prices from free to 1000's of dollars. Go to a guild or a weaving shop and see what weaving is all about, when make the jump.
