I use an adjustable keyboard musicians bench with a thick cushioned seat.
Most everyone I know with a "loom bench" needs to add a cushion, either for tender "sit" bones or for slipping off those varnished benches. The Mannings in East Berlin Pennsylvania sells a "wedgie" closed cell foam pad that solves three problems - cushioning, slipping and angle.
