Dear Patty:
I have several Newcomb looms that I love. They are a good rugged stable loom great for rugs as you can get a good tight tension on them. They automatically advance, which increases your speed in weaving and also keeps the tension even. You can delicate as well as strudy items. I also have some Clement looms from Canada that have held up well to making rugs. They are a jack style loom like the Leclerc but heavier duty.
Good luck and happy weaving!
