definitely NO on the Kia. As other posts have said, you can only break a Macomber down so much and no further. I am blessed with a pickup truck with a "shell" over it so I was able to bring my 48" ad-a-harness back from Missouri with no problems We took out the harnesss and removed the treadles, the warping beams and beater then folded everything that would fold and it fit nicely into the back of the truck. You might be able to get a 54" into a truck. I think the bed on mine is 6' and it's sort of average.
You will have to rent from UHaul or somebody, but, it you get a great price on the loom (I did, even adding in the cost of going to get it) it's worth the expense.
