A temple (stretcher) is an adjustable bar with tiny nails at each end. You set it to the width of your warp , and as you weave, just keep moving it forward. It's a great help, for me anyway. Do a search on some of the weaving sites...I'm sure there are pictures somewhere & places you can order. Jenny, you might want to join a couple of the yahoo groups...the weaving one and also rugtalk....lots of knowledge and helpful people on both.
