I am starting a double cloth weaving with folds. The book I have says that the "weft has a tendency to pull in the sides when traveling from one layer to the next.." the suggestion to solve this problem is to "sley ends more loosely at the folds" What does this mean? Isn't "sleying" the threading through the reed? How would I sley the warp more loosely at the folds? Thanks for any help.
