unless you need the larger reed for yarn size, you can use the 15 dent and thread any pattern that calls for a 10 or 12 dent reed by skipping a dent here and there. There are conversion charts for reed threading. Deb Chandler has one in her Learning to Weave book.
Sometimes with a shorter reed, the warp threads will hit the top of the reed when raised. You would have to check that with the loom threaded. I think you can use different height reeds as long the the holder is adjustable.
