Thank you so much for your help - I'll try them all! I feel a little silly right now as I said it is a Nilart loom - but it is a Nilus. LeClerc doesn't even make the Nilus loom any longer - - I think I know why! I think Nilart and Nilus looms are very similar so I'll start with your suggestions and try to be positive. I was an avid weaver from 1969 to 1983 - even had my own shop in CO - moved away and had to quit to take a job. Weaving went by the wayside. But I think the main reason I quit was due to the loom - I went from an 8 harness to this Nilus 12 shortly after I moved. I'll try again as I am now retired and anxious to weave. What a great site this is!
