If you have a 12-shaft Nilus, I presume it's somewhere between 48" and 60" wide.

That means you'll need to check that your jacks are raising the harnesses level. Look at the harness tracks on the inside of the castle and make sure the are no obstructions or sticky spots. Then make sure you have approximately the same number of heddles on each side of the center.

Since you haven't been weaving for a while you should probably also check your weaving posture. Make sure you're square with the loom, the correct height and comfortable. Also, check that you're not accidentally resting one foot on the treadles when you use the other one and that you're not pushing treadles sideways.

I find that it's really easy to forget my posture when I'm fussing with the loom to see what's wrong.
