This sounds like a really interesting technique. Unfortunately,
I'm not familiar with it.
I did a quick search on the Net and the only reference I
could find to it was at the location below. There's a
paragraph about this technique that was done in the
city of Shiroishi.

One minor problem that I ran into when I searched for
this on the internet was that shifu means 'master' or
'teacher' in Chinese. This led to a lot of interesting
links, but nothing about the weaving technique.
If you wouldn't mind, I would like to post your question

If you find any other information on this technique,
