In response to your request, yes, by all means discuss the shifu technique with the Board. I too have found the same problem with the word Shifu on the internet when I have been searching for information.

If you want more information on the technique, I am happy to passon what I know. I am not a weaver or spinner as such but use weaving to a small degree in making shifu as part of my work as a craft practitioner.

I am also able to teach the basic technique but have very much developed it to my own criteria. Heance why I am also trying to find out more information.

Shifu is paper thread made from kozo which is Mulberry paper, which is then woven into cloth. It is a very old Japanese technique that I believe is rarely practised today. The traditional technique for making this paper cloth is very skilled.
