I bought a loom which came to me as a pile, and I have been slowly piecing it together with the help of books. However, I have a question about the placement of the cloth beam, and specifically, I am wondering if I am missing a piece, or if I have the beam in the wrong spot.

you can see in pic. #6 the metal circular hole/bracket above and to the left of the cloth beam(and in pic #2 the parrallel bracketon the left side of the loom)...that is what I am curious about.
If anyone could help me out, that would be great!
