Thank you, Michael. This will be my first coverlet, and I have been using Helen Jarvis' book, which is very good. I didn't know her personally, but she did a lot of work for the living-history museum where I work, and a couple of weavers that I know helped her work on the coverlet that is/was in the Lincoln bedroom in the White House (I think it is in storage now). She is very exacting in her ideas, and I just didn't want to goof up.
