Well, I thought I would join the local guild...they are starting a weaving group. well, guess what...no info about WHERE the meeting would be, other than the hostess' name, no contact info, no address etc. Yes, info about the main meeting, at a publc place, which seems to be mostly concerned with knitting. I mention this because I see this sort of thing on a lot of local guild websites. I travel frequently and like to drop in and see what people are doing other places when I can. It's almost as if you have to be part of the group already in order to benefit from the events news postings.
Check your websites, folks, and think in terms of someone new coming along.
